Soft Plastics

Soft plastics are an integral bait in bass fishing. They often imitate creatures in an attempt to get bites. Because of bass's reactionary nature , many soft plastics are brightly colored.

Good times to use Soft plastics

In "Texas rigs" Simply put through a hook with a weight
as the trailer on jigs , giving the bait more movement in the water
In heavily vegetated areas, due to their ability to not hook weeds

When to use different colors of soft plastics	Color	Size
Muddy Water	Brighter Colors; pink, neon	Larger size with more action
Clear Water	Darker Colors; brown, dark green	Larger size with more action
Dark Water(Night)	Brighter Colors; pink, bright yellow, orange	Smaller size due to less visibility and mobility

Soft plastic baits, particularly Texas Rigs, are very useful to beginners. If the bite is slow, a soft plastic is always a very reliable bait to fall back on.
